Since its foundation in 2015, Coletiva Teatro has been devoted to the exploration and systematization of modes of collaborative theatre-making through artistic research and productions infused by the collectivization of procedures. The group’s research encompasses aesthetic, poetic, political and ethical aspects of these modes of production, including activities such as theatre performances, urban interventions, storytelling sessions, clowning activities, technical demonstrations, articles, workshops and lectures. The group develops artistic productions, training sessions and academic work locally, nationally and internationally. Coletiva Teatro is part of the Research Group Criação em Coletivo para a Cena (Collaborative Creation for the Stage) and a resident at the Theatre Arts Department of the University of Brasília.
